The pneuRIP app offers a user-friendly interface for connecting to the pneuRIP device, facilitating real-time monitoring of respiratory patterns during activities such as yoga, meditation, and exercise. The pneuRIP device itself is a compact respiratory monitor that utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology and lightweight plethysmography bands to accurately assess breathing. This data is seamlessly transmitted to the user's smartphone.

The application efficiently scans for devices within a 100-foot radius, allowing users to quickly connect to their pneuRIP device. Upon establishing a connection, users can access real-time graphs and data visualizations. Furthermore, the app provides customization options, enabling users to rename their devices, designate locations, and store personal data securely. The application also supports exporting data in multiple formats, including EDF+, CSV, and SQLite via email attachments.

In terms of functionality, the app employs sophisticated signal processing techniques to enhance the accuracy of respiratory measurements. This includes data windowing, finite impulse response filtering (FIR), and the application of fast Fourier transforms (FFT), which collectively improve the signal-to-noise ratio through careful averaging and filtering.
